Combat Stats

Pokemon & Trainers have the same stats, of course – only 2 stats are derived from these: HP and Evasion.

  • Health is how much HP you have.
  • Attack is added to Physical damage rolls.
  • Defense is subtracted from the damage of a Physical attack before subtracting from HP.
  • Special Attack is added to Special damage rolls.
  • Special Defense is subtracted from the damage of a Special attack before subtracting from HP.
  • Speed determines turn order during combat and how much Evasion you have

Health is separate from HP – if a creature has 0 or less HP, they are KO’d.

  • (Health x 3) + 10 + Level + Nature Bonus + Size Bonus = Max HP

There is only 1 Evasion type, which is applied to all Accuracy Checks

  • +1 Evasion per 10 Speed, no cap
  • Evasion can be negative, also with no cap.
This only happens when you’re flanked and/or have been hit by Status attacks.

Combat Stages alter Stats – there are no CS for Health. Combat Stages may never go above +4 or below -2. A Stat can never be brought below 0 by any means.

  • Combat Stages modify a stat based on your Tier, providing a +3 per Tier bonus or penalty to the relevant stat. A Tier 1 Larvitar gaining +1 DEF CS would gain +3 to its DEF stat, while a Tier 4 Scizor losing -2 ATK CS would lose -24 ATK to its ATK stat.
  • Combat Stages remain until the creature is switched out, or when 10 minutes have passed.
  • Speed CS also affects the movement capabilities of the creature, increasing or decreasing its movement capabilities by 25% per CS.

Creatures have Size Modifiers which change their stats, listed below. Size Modifiers are already factored into entries in the Pokedex.

Size Modifier
Mini +3 Evasion +3 Accuracy
Tiny +2 Evasion, +2 Accuracy
Small +1 Evasion, +1 Accuracy
Medium N/A
Large +3 Health/tier, +25% to all Movement Capabilities
Huge +6 Health/tier, +50% to all Movement Capabilities
Massive +9 Health/tier, +75% to all Movement Capabilities
Gigantic +12 Health/tier, +100% to all Movement Capabilities

Moves generally grant a bonus to a Stat upon learning it. This bonus is detailed in the Move itself, denoted as [+HP], for example.
This bonus is equal to +1 per Tier.
