Example Abilities

Ability: Anger Point
At-Will – Free Action
Trigger: The user is hit by a Critical Hit
Effect: 
They become Enraged and gains +6 to all Body Skill Checks while Enraged.
Special: The user gains a damage bonus of (3 x Your Tier) on all attacks while Enraged.
Ability: Comatose
At-Will – Shift Action
Effect: 
The user falls Comatose, and regains a Tick of HP. If they are already asleep, they may regain a Tick of HP, or instead reduce the Tier of a single Persistent Status Effect affecting them by 1, to a minimum of 0.
Special: The user may act normally while sleeping (even during Extended Rests) and ignores all penalties from Sleep-category conditions. While sleeping, the user does not make Save Checks to wake up, and wakes up from being hit only if they want to.
Ability: Defiant
Static
Effect: When the user has its Combat Stages lowered by something other than itself, the user gains +2 Attack Combat Stages.
Special: Once per Scene, when affected by a Skill Power or attack with the [Social] tag, the user gains +1d6 Intimidate for the rest of the Scene.
Ability: Enduring Rage
Static
Effect: The user cannot be cured of the Enraged condition while in combat. While the user is Enraged, the Perfect Guard action may be triggered when making an attack.
Special: The user gains (3 x Your Tier) DR while Enraged.
Ability: Gluttony
Static
Effect: The user may have up to two Meal Buffs and Refreshment Buffs at once, and can consume 6 Snacks, 4 Refreshments, and 2 Meals per day.
Special: The user requires twice as many Resources as normal. When they trade in a Refreshment or Snack Buff, they gain a Tick of Temp HP, which stack with any Temp HP granted by the triggering Food Buff.
Ability: Inner Focus
Static
Effect: The user is immune to Disabled-category conditions and Abilities with the ‘Debuff’ keyword. If an effect would set the user’s Initiative to 0, their Initiative is not affected.
Special: The user may Take X on Balance Acrobatics Checks, where X is equal to (1 + Your Tier).
Defensive.
Ability: Immunity
Static
Effect: The user is immune to Poisoned-category conditions and negative effects of the Acid Rain weather.
Defensive.
Ability: Let’s Roll!
Free Action
Trigger: Your Start Phase begins on the first round of combat.
Effect: The user uses the Defense Curl move.
Ability: Oblivious
Static
Effect: The user is immune to Rage and Charmed-category conditions. They are also immune to the abilities Intimidate/Scare, and the move Taunt.
Defensive.
Ability: Pickup
Daily – Extended Action
Effect: Roll 1d20 and consult the Pickup keyword to determine what you find.
Ability: Prime Fury
Scene – Interrupt Action
Effect: The user becomes Enraged and cannot fail Morale Checks for the rest of the Scene, then gains +1 Attack and +1 Defense Combat Stages.
Ability: Thick Fat
Static
Effect: The user resists all Fire and Ice-type damage one step further.
Special: The user is always treated as being 1 Cold and Heat Tier lower than they actually are.
Defensive.
Ability: Vital Spirit
At-Will – Interrupt Action
Effect: When you expend PP, you gain (1 + Your Tier) HP Ticks.
Special: The user is immune to Sleep-category conditions and cannot use the Rest move.
